About Schiller Park

Schiller Park is a village in Cook County, IL, with a population of nearly 12,000 as of the 2000 Census. Having been established early in the settlement of the area, Schiller Park has a number of infamous tales in its historical background. In the 1930’s, organized crime figure Roger Touhy called the famous Schiller Park roadhouse headquarters, and The Great Escape restaurant was the headquarters for Al Capone.
